Browsing Posts in Blogosphere

I have never been able to figure out what the hell I’m supposed to blog about here.

I mean, I know technically it should be about design-related and industry issues and I’ve tried mightily, but because I’ve been personally blogging online since 1997 (yes, REALLY), I can’t get over the urge to blog personally here.

So I get started on an on-topic post and suddenly find myself veering off into Personalland.

To make matters worse, I have slacked off in my personal blogging since I started designing websites for escorts (six years ago), so one of my biggest outlets has suffered.

Pondering …

Lost in Thought

Go see it – it’s GREAT!

One of the most important things that you MUST do when creating your website – or having one created for you – is to be sure that your website displays correctly on all major browsers: Firefox, Internet Explorer, Safari, the new Google Chrome and AOL.

Ensuring that your website is accessible to your viewers should be one of your top priorities. A website can become not only ugly, but absolutely inaccessible and unnavigable, to many of your potential clients.

Good website designers test their designs during development to make sure that the pages they build look identical – or at least close to identical – on different browsers. Be sure that your designer has enough experience in design to know that.

A Prostitution Revolution

Trent Lapinkski blogs about escorts and Twitter (and gets taken to task by more than a couple of ladies).

Go girls!!

I don’t tweet, but I am all for anything that gives the industry a positive slant.

OMG!

Not only do I design blogs, I’ve had one for over ten years (guess which one was me, lol). In fact, when I started, they weren’t called “blogs”, they were called online diaries or journals.

I really do love keeping a journal, but the problem is that I have a hard time keeping both a “business” blog and a “personal” blog.

If I manage to keep the business one updated, the personal one suffers.

If I manage to update my personal blog … oh! never mind, I never have TIME to update my personal blog, lol.

or NOT.

This is NOT a Joke and NOT Funny

Do NOT under any circumstances open any of these things.

Over the course of getting Your-GFE ready to go live I stumbled upon a distressing fact: there are some seriously demented people out there who are hacking templates so that they redirect to other sites - OR WORSE.

I found, in eight out of twenty-three free templates, modified footer.php and function.php files implementing the hack.

It’s easy enough to fix, but unless you know what to look for, you could inadvertently upload these files to your server and muck things up unbelievably.
